ALL-FESTIVAL PASSES for THE FRENCH HAD A NAME FOR IT ‘23, screening at the Roxie Theater November 26-27 & December 3-4, are now on sale.

Passes are $89 and include a complimentary copy of INSTAGRAMMATOLOGY, chronicling my journey from mercurial “renegade programmer” and tireless advocate of “the lost continent of classic French film noir” into an unlikely career as a “image thief artist” like no other. The book is 153 pages, with more than 100 color illustrations. (A preview image of the book’s cover is shown below at right; some of you might recognize the face of the young woman surrounded by a phantasmagorical wilderness—it’s actress Andrée Clément—my “goth girl” whom we rediscovered for the world in 2018.)
