WE have a rebate offer in place for those of you who did not purchase all-festival passes to FRENCH 24 part 2: you may have read about it in a recent email blast.
That offer is still active: buy tickets to each of the three double features playing on Sunday December 1 at the Roxie list price ($17 x 3 = $51) and receive a $15 cash rebate upon entering the theater. (That’s good for the first fifteen folks who are ready for our one-of-a-kind six-film marathon that day.)
BUT we realize that some of you might not be able to stay with us all day, so we are expanding that rebate to cover those who come out for our early show (start time: 11:30 am) featuring the one-and-only Erich von Stroheim.
The first twenty of you who join us for our early matinée (L’ALIBI, where von Stroheim is a ruthless, murdering con man; and LES DISPARUS DE SAINT-AGIL, where he’s a highly enigmatic schoolteacher…) will receive a $5 cash rebate upon entering the theater.
That makes your net cost $12 instead of $17. It’s our way of thanking you for making an early trek to the Roxie.
And for those who decide they can stay for the second double feature—our salute to undervalued director André Cayatte (TWO ARE GUILTY and TRAP FOR CINDERELLA, two knockout sixties noirs…)—and who buy their ticket in tandem with their admission to the early show—we’ll add a second $5 cash rebate for you.
That makes your net cost $24 instead of $34.
Remember: you buy tickets at the box office at the usual list price, and enter the theater, where a representative of MCP will be waiting to present you with your specific rebate ($5 with a ticket purchase to the early show only; $10 with tickets purchased to the first two double features; and $15 with tickets purchased for all three double features).
Note that the rebate does not apply if you don’t buy a ticket to the 11:30am show; this is an inducement for folks to join us at the start of our six-film “marathon day.”
THIS is our “au revoir merci” for those fans of the series who’ve not been in a position to receive the discount afforded by our “all-festival pass” for whatever reason. We want you to know that we appreciate the “full-price” support you’ve provided us over the years, and want to express our gratitude via this cash rebate offer.
Here again is our revised schedule for FRENCH HAD A NAME FOR IT ‘24 Part 2, which gives you all the dates and times. Remember—Sunday evening is our tribute to Jeanne Moreau! (We absolutely defend the assertion that we’ve made our December 1 marathon day a “must-see” event from start to finish…)
(Note that tickets are sold out for two of our Little Roxie screenings—the November 29 von Stroheim screenings and the evening show featuring Henri Vidal on November 30—but there will be rush lines for those shows.)
WE hope you’ll take advantage of our rebate offers (whichever of the three that works for you) and join us this Sunday for a one-of-a-kind day at the movies!
